However, the practice in the Pragaan Daya village community shows that engagement is a preliminary step taken before marriage. In various places, age is an important factor in determining marriage preparation, but for most parents in Pragaan Daya village, age is not a factor that must be considered, even parents tend to want to marry their children as soon as possible when their children are getting closer to their fianc{\'e} and many children already have fianc{\'e}s so that they are very vulnerable to early marriage. Based on the description above, the researcher formulated the following problems: (1) What are the driving factors for early engagement and the decision to marry quickly in Pragaan Daya Village, Sumenep Regency? (2) What is the sociological review of Islamic law regarding the driving factors for early engagement and the decision to marry quickly in Pragaan Daya Village, Sumenep Regency? This type of research is field research. The primary sources of this study are data, facts, and cases found in the field. The approach used in this research is a sociological-empirical approach. These approaches are chosen because the researcher aims to investigate social issues in the community with an object-oriented perspective. The data analysis method employed is qualitative analysis with an inductive method. The results of the study indicate that the driving factors for early engagement and the decision to marry early in Pragaan Daya Village are social and cultural factors, parental encouragement, and self-will. Social and cultural factors play an important role in forming norms and values that consider early marriage as something normal or even desirable. In addition, parents are often the driving force for early marriage, either to maintain the family's good name or because parents see the closeness of their children during the engagement period and are afraid of doing things that violate norms such as adultery. On the other hand, self-will also influences, especially when there is emotional encouragement, love, or the desire to form an independent family. The theory of Islamic legal sociology highlights the phenomenon of early engagement and the decision to marry early in Pragaan Daya Village can be seen as the result of the interaction between religious norms, socio-cultural values, and local community life practices. In the context of early marriage, society often focuses on formal legality (pillars and requirements for a valid marriage) without considering the psychological, physical, and economic readiness of the couple.} }
