description: The trust of students' parents is one of the important factors in the success of an educational institution, especially at the elementary level such as kindergarten. So far, Kindergarten Y is known to have a positive image in the eyes of students' parents. However, lately, an issue has emerged that causes negative perceptions, namely related to student withdrawals from school. Facing this situation, the role of public relations is very important in alleviating the anxiety of students' parents and rebuilding their trust in the school. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation with research subjects selected using purposive sampling techniques. The subjects of the study consisted of public relations (principal), 6 homeroom teachers, and 1 parent of a student from class A and 2 parents of a student from class B. Data analysis in this study was carried out through several stages, namely: (1) data reduction by giving a red color code for the first problem formulation and blue color for the second problem formulation, (2) the presentation of data in the form of tables to facilitate understanding, and (3) the drawing of conclusions obtained from interviews with the principal, 6 homeroom teachers, and 3 parents of students, which was then strengthened by documentation of various school activities. The results of this study show that: first, the public relations strategy in an effort to maintain the existence of Kindergarten Y is to improve the quality of educational services, more open and transparent communication, and active involvement of parents in various school activities and updates on school social media; Second, the obstacle faced in trying to maintain good relations with parents is that public relations in Kindergarten Y still faces limitations in handling certain issues or challenges independently. Therefore, it is necessary to establish cooperation with external parties who have special expertise or authority and lack of time to communicate between teachers and parents to discuss child development.
