"Law is a reflection of society that functions to\r\nmaintain social order. The issue of halalness is part of the\r\nconsistency of Muslims in practicing their religion and\r\nbeliefs. On the other hand, the government is also interested\r\nin providing added value to trade through halal products,\r\none of which is through intervention in legal instruments in\r\nthe form of labeling and certification of halal products.\r\nFrom the New Order regime to the Reformation era, various\r\nchanges in regulations regarding halal products have been\r\nenforced.\r\nFrom the perspective of legal politics, legal change\r\nregulations are part of political products related to political\r\nand authoritarian configurations. This configuration will\r\nthen produce legal products that are repressive and\r\northodox in character, while a democratic political\r\nconfiguration will produce responsive and populist legal\r\nproducts. Although it is stated that this categorization is not\r\nalways absolute, the emphasis of the research is directed at\r\nthe postulate of the law. From here, the author wants to\r\nprove the theory of legal politics through the case of the\r\nformation of the JPH Law\r\nThe formulation of the problem is proposed to\r\nobtain findings in this study. What changes are there in the\r\ndynamics of halal product legislation?; What caused the\r\nchanges in Law Number 33 of 2014 concerning JPH until\r\nfinally, the changes were implemented in Law Number 11\r\nof 2020 concerning Job Creation and Law Number 6 of\r\n2023 concerning the Stipulation of Perpu 2 of 2022\r\nconcerning Job Creation into Law? What are the political\r\nconfiguration and legal character of its enactment?\r\nFurthermore, what is the concept of legal politics in the\r\ndynamics of politics in Indonesia in the case of the JPH\r\nLaw? This research method is analytical descriptive with\r\nnormative juridical legal research. The object of the research is legal politics against the JPH Law. This research\r\nuses a statute approach historical approach) and conceptual\r\napproach. The data sources needed are secondary data with\r\nvarious qualifications, which are then collected and\r\nanalyzed according to the research objectives.\r\nThe implementation of regulations on JPH in\r\nIndonesia has 2 (two) phases: the first is the voluntary\r\nphase, and the second is the mandatory phase. In the\r\nmandatory phase, government policy (legal politics) has\r\nshifted from prioritizing consumer and producer protection\r\ntowards added value trade through job creation and\r\ninvestment. From the perspective of legal science, changes\r\nin the JPH regulation include aspects of the types and\r\nclassifications of legal regulations. The function of\r\nregulations is both regulation and implementation—the\r\ncontent of the regulations.In Mahfud MD's legal, political\r\ntheory, the relationship between linear political\r\nconfiguration and the resulting legal products does not\r\nalways apply. This can be influenced by the presence of\r\nother variables, namely intervening variables.
