Family factors and negative social stigma about prisoners are also often one of the causes of anxiety. Getting closer to God is often a way for prisoners to overcome the anxiety they experience. One approach they can take is through religious coping. Religious coping is an individual's ability to deal with psychological pressure in order to regulate emotions through a religious approach. Religious coping can help reduce anxiety levels because it helps individuals control their emotions. The purpose of this study was to determine, analyze and describe the relationship between religious coping and anxiety levels of inmates in Class II A Yogyakarta Prison, this study used a quantitative correlational method, the measuring instrument in this study on religious coping used a scale based on Alfekseir's theory which contained 21 items and while for anxiety using the Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) scale which contained 21 items. This study was conducted on inmates in Class II A Yogyakarta Prison who had the status of prisoners. The number of research samples was 56 inmates. The data analysis technique used the IBM SPSS Statistic 25 program. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant relationship between religious coping and anxiety levels in Class II A Yogyakarta Prison, obtained a sig. value of 0.730 (P> 0.05).
