This study aims to analyze four factors that influence the level of income inequality in Java during the period 2010–2023. Observations were conducted on six provinces: DKI Jakarta, West Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, East Java, and Banten. The data used in this study were sourced from the National Statistics Agency (Badan Pusat Statistik). The method used is a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis. Income inequality is measured using the Gini Ratio (GR) as the dependent variable, while economic growth, education, investment, and unemployment are used as independent variables. The results of the study show that economic growth, investment, and unemployment have a positive and significant effect on income inequality in Java. In contrast, education has a negative and significant effect, meaning that improving the quality of education can reduce income inequality. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening the education sector to improve the quality of human resources, which in turn can encourage more equitable economic growth and reduce income disparities. %Z Dhiyaul Aulia Zulni, M.E.
