The informants in this study consisted of three active Tinder users who had engaged in interpersonal deception. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data collection techniques included observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation tailored to the research questions. The findings reveal that the three informants utilized deception strategies such as falsification, concealment, and equivocation. The specific forms of deception involved falsifying personal information, fabricating lifestyle details, engaging in ostentatious displays (flexing), offering feigned attention, providing minimal attention, withholding secrets, and redirecting conversations. The motivations for deception included protecting personal privacy, personal insecurities, avoiding hurt feelings, preventing conflict, enhancing self-presentation, accelerating relationship development, and gaining easy advantages. The study concludes that the three informants exhibited distinct interpersonal deception behaviors, each driven by different rationales on the Tinder platform. date: 2025-06-04 type: Thesis type: NonPeerReviewed format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/71630/1/21107010147_BAB-I_IV-atau-V_DAFTAR-PUSTAKA.pdf format: text language: id identifier: https://digilib.uin-suka.ac.id/id/eprint/71630/2/21107010147_BAB-II_sampai_SEBELUM-BAB-TERAKHIR.pdf identifier: Izar Rifqi, NIM.: 21107010147 (2025) INTERPERSONAL DECEPTION PENGGUNA APLIKASI KENCAN ONLINE TINDER.
