However, the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) faces challenges in the form of the spread of hoaxes related to the sale and purchase of hajj quotas that have the potential to damage its image, although not proven. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with in-depth interviews with the DIY Ministry of Religious Affairs Public Relations team and observations of public relations activities. The results of the study show that the communication strategies used include planning strategies, media optimization, service digitalization, feedback evaluation, publication achievements, management issues, and strengthening institutional values and cross-party cooperation. The speed of response to issues, consistency of messages, and involvement of officials are important factors in maintaining public trust. The study recommends strengthening cooperation with the media and influencers, digital literacy campaigns, and increasing public awareness to verify information before spreading it} }
