abstract: The high access to information in the digital era has changed the way the younger generation gains knowledge, including in the field of politics. Instagram as one of the popular visual social media, is widely used by young people to follow political issues in a lighter and more interesting way. This study aims to describe how Instagram is used as a medium for political education for the younger generation through a study on the @bijakmemantau.id account. The method used is qualitative descriptive research with interview techniques, online observation, and documentation. The results of the study show that Instagram such as photos/videos, reels, captions, hashtags, likes, comments, and mentions are used strategically by the @bijakmemantau.id account to expand political knowledge, follow developments in issues, and encourage active participation of the younger generation in digital political discussions. Interaction with followers such as comments, Q&A, polling, and direct messages strengthen the role of accounts in building two-way relationships that are educational and participatory. The reasearch result show that Instagram becomes a medium for political education for the younger generation, when managed with an approach that is informative, communicative, and relevant to the needs of the audience.
