Due to the limitations of fission-based ⁹⁹Mo production, alternative non-fission methods involving neutron activation of natural molybdenum (MoO₃) are being developed. This study aims to analyze the elution profile and quality control parameters of ⁹⁹ᵐTc produced from a non-fission ⁹⁹Mo/⁹⁹ᵐTc generator based on cerium-alumina material. Cerium was selected as the column filler material due to its high chemical stability. The elution of ⁹⁹ᵐTc was carried out using a NaCl solution, and quality control included assessments of radionuclidic purity, pH, and alumina content. The results showed that the generator with a cerium-alumina column composition increased the ⁹⁹ᵐTc yield by 6,62% compared to a conventional alumina column. However, the ⁹⁹Mo breakthrough still exceeded the limit set by the United States Pharmacopeia (>0,15 μCi ⁹⁹Mo/mCi ⁹⁹ᵐTc). By adding an additional alumina column, the ⁹⁹Mo breakthrough was reduced to 0,0015 μCi ⁹⁹Mo/mCi ⁹⁹ᵐTc, thereby meeting clinical quality standards for ⁹⁹ᵐTc. Overall, the findings demonstrate the potential of cerium-alumina-based non-fission generators for medical radioisotope production. %Z Siska Febriana, S.Si., M.Si dan Dr. Nita Handayani, S.Si., M.Si
