abstract: The aquaculture industry in Indonesia continues to face various challenges, particularly in the procurement and distribution of aquafeed raw materials. Problems such as lengthy supply chains, limited price transparency, and the absence of real-time information access hinder operational efficiency for fish farmers. These issues emphasize the need for a digital solution that can streamline transactions and improve access to accurate, up-to-date feed price data.
This study proposes the design of a digital business application named Aquafeed Marketplace, which aims to facilitate aquafeed raw material transactions and real-time price monitoring. The development method includes several key phases: industry and market analysis, business model design, marketing and operational strategy formulation, financial projections, and feasibility analysis. The platform is expected to connect fish farmers, distributors, and feed producers in a more transparent and integrated ecosystem.
Based on financial feasibility analysis, the business project shows promising potential. The calculated payback period is 3 years and 1 month, indicating a relatively fast return on investment. This supports the viability of implementing the Aquafeed Marketplace as a technology-based solution to enhance supply chain efficiency in Indonesia’s aquaculture sector.
