abstract: This research aims to develop a digital platform for renting sports facilities, specifically badminton courts and equipment, to streamline the process of searching, booking, and managing rentals online. With the background of the lack of effective digital systems connecting court owners, renters, and sports equipment providers, this platform is designed to enhance accessibility and transparency in the sports facilities rental industry.
From a business perspective, the Porter’s Five Forces analysis reveals that user bargaining power and the threat of potential competitors are relatively high, while the pressure from substitute products and supplier power remains low, offering a still-open competitive landscape. The SWOT analysis identifies the platform’s main strengths in ease of access and feature integration, alongside significant opportunities from the digitalization of the sports industry, although challenges such as dependency on court partners and user adoption of technology remain. The 7Ps marketing mix strategy focuses on offering affordable pricing, targeted digital promotion, convenient access via an online platform, and user relationship management to foster loyalty and growth.
Business feasibility evaluation shows that the platform is promising and viable, with a positive Net Present Value (NPV) of Rp115,651,353, an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) of 23.83%, a Break-Even Point (BEP) of Rp148,700,000, and a Payback Period (PP) of less than four years. Therefore, this platform has the potential to become an innovative solution that supports the growth of the digital badminton sports ecosystem and offers a promising business opportunity in today’s technology-driven era.
