abstract: The rapid development of infrastructure in Indonesia has driven a growing demand for precast concrete products, one of which is the precast U-ditch. PT Surya Karya Setiabudi, as a manufacturer of precast U-ditch, continues to face challenges in its production process, particularly related to waste that impacts efficiency and product quality. This study aims to identify types of waste and determine improvement actions using the Lean Manufacturing approach, supported by the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) methods. The results show that the Process Cycle Efficiency (PCE) value is 29.42%, indicating that only 29.42% of the total process time adds value, while the remaining time consists of non-value-added and necessary non-value-added activities. Five types of waste were identified: inventory, overproduction, motion, waiting, and transportation. Based on AHP weighting, inventory waste ranked highest with a weight of 44%. This waste is caused by unstructured production systems, poor warehouse layout, and limitations in production planning management. Based on FMEA analysis, the prioritized improvement steps include refining production strategies, reorganizing warehouse areas, and strengthening operational systems through SOP development and the use of historical data. The results of this study are expected to serve as a reference for improving operational efficiency and productivity in the precast concrete industry, particularly in the production of precast U-ditch at PT Surya Karya Setiabudi.
