Islamic law also regulates in detail the rules and prohibitions of marriage. The Qur'an regulates the basic rules of marriage, starting from who is allowed to marry, and other rules related to marriage. In practice in the community. Marriage in each region has different customary rules called the Customary Marriage Law. Customary marriage law regulates the customs and prohibitions of marriage that are generally obeyed by the local community. For example, there was a banyan carnival during the wedding ceremony in Ngino Hamlet, Margoagung Village, Seyegan District, Sleman Regency which the researcher will discuss as the subject of research. The purpose of the research is to find out how Islamic Law views the ritual customs of the banyan carnival in the traditional wedding ceremony in Ngino Hamlet, Kalurahan Margoagung, Kapanewon Seyegan? This research is a descriptive and analytical field research obtained in the field about the banyan carnival in traditional wedding ceremonies. The approach used is normative using the theory of 'urf. The data collection technique in this study uses interview techniques to obtain a purposive sample (intended sample) on an event. The analysis used in this study is qualitative data analysis, and concludes it with an inductive deductive method. The result of this study is that the banyan carnival tradition is a wedding tradition carried out by the people of Ngino Hamlet, Margoagung Village, Kapanewon Seyegan, Sleman Regency. In terms of scope, the tradition of the banyan carnival ritual in the traditional wedding ceremony is an 'urf which is classified as 'urf khâṣ. Then in terms of its validity, this tradition is classified as ''urf ṣaḥīḥ. So that this tradition is permissible, because it does not contradict the shari'a. However, if in carrying out the ritual of the banyan kirab it is associated with a practice that violates the shari'a, so that the tradition can be classified as 'urf fâsid. %Z Dra. Hj.
