The ritual involves newlyweds walking around a sacred banyan tree three times after their wedding reception, with the hope of receiving blessings, safety, and harmony in their married life. This tradition is a cultural heritage passed down from Mbah Bergas, a revered local figure believed to be the founder of the village, and is practiced with deep spiritual meaning and ancestral reverence. This research aims to describe in detail the practice of Mubeng Ringin and to analyze its sustainability using the Structural Functionalism theory developed by Talcott Parsons, particularly through the AGIL framework (Adaptation, Goal Attainment, Integration, and Latency). This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with field research methods, collecting data through observation, interviews with local community leaders and participants, and documentation. The findings indicate that Mubeng Ringin is not merely a cultural formality but serves significant social functions. Sociologically, the tradition strengthens social structure, fosters solidarity among community members, and preserves cultural and religious values. Through the AGIL analysis, it is evident that the community of Dusun Ngino has successfully adapted this tradition to modern contexts without losing its original meaning (Adaptation); it uses the ritual as a collective means to achieve the goal of household harmony (Goal Attainment); it fosters social cohesion through communal participation (Integration); and it maintains and transmits ancestral values as part of the community’s cultural and spiritual identity (Latency). Thus, the Mubeng Ringin tradition stands as a living testament to the harmonious coexistence of local culture and Islamic values within a multicultural society. This study is expected to contribute to the academic discourse on Islamic family law, sociology of law, and the preservation of Indonesia’s local traditions. %Z Dr. Siti Muna Hayati, M.H.I.
