This type of LPG is officially designated for low-income households and micro-enterprises. However, in Padukuhan Ngentak, Caturtunggal, Sleman, many economically capable individuals continue to use it. The main factors include its lower price compared to non-subsidized LPG, ease of access without verification, and weak distribution oversight. This situation not only causes social inequality and scarcity for the intended beneficiaries, but also contradicts the principles of justice and public welfare (Ma?la?ah ) within Islamic economic law. This study is a field research using a qualitative approach that aims to analyze the use of subsidized LPG by middle-to-upper-class communities from the perspective of Islamic economic law. Data were collected through direct observation and in-depth interviews with relevant stakeholders, including the Sleman Trade and Industry Office, village officials, LPG agents and distributors, and community members from various economic backgrounds. Documentation was also employed to support the validity of the findings. The analysis was conducted using descriptive-qualitative methods by interpreting the field data through the lens of Islamic economic principles such as Ma?la?ah Mursalah, a?-?idq (truthfulness), and am?nah (trust), alongside relevant national regulations. The findings reveal that the use of subsidized LPG by ineligible groups is mainly due to the absence of effective control systems, lack of beneficiary data collection, and insufficient public awareness regarding ethical subsidy usage. Such practices conflict with the Islamic concept of distributive justice, as they prevent poor households from accessing government aid. Therefore, it is essential to reform subsidy policies, implement a data-based distribution system, and raise public awareness through education on Islamic economic values, so that energy subsidies can effectively reach and benefit those who truly need them PB - UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA KW - Hukum Ekonomi Syariah KW - LPG Bersubsidi KW - Ketidaktepatan Sasaran M1 - skripsi TI - ANALISIS HUKUM EKONOMI SYARIAH TERHADAP PEMBELIAN GAS LPG (LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS) BERSUBSIDI BAGI MASYARAKAT MENENGAH KE ATAS DI PADUKUHAN NGENTAK AV - restricted EP - 113 ER -
