N2  - Productive waqf is one of the Islamic economic instruments that has the potential to improve community welfare. This research aims to explore the perceptions of community leaders towards productive waqf in Anjani Village, as well as to identify the factors that hinder the development of productive waqf in Anjani Village.
This research uses a type of normative-empirical research (applied law research), with a descriptive-analytical nature. The approach used is a sociological approach, in order to understand the state of society with its structures and other social phenomena, which are related to waqf property. The data collection methods include observation, interviews with the village head, religious leaders, youth leaders, village deliberation body, village youth organization, neighborhood leaders, and documentation.
The results of this study indicate that the perception of community leaders regarding the practice of waqf implemented in Anjani Village still tends to be traditional. Because the management of waqf assets is more focused on the construction of religious facilities alone, without considering more productive management. Factors that hinder the development of productive waqf in Anjani Village include the limited number of competent human resources, lack of innovation in waqf management, traditional waqf practices, and minimal education and socialization about productive waqf.
