Tafakkur has often been reductively understood as an instrument of moral pedagogy or psychological reflection, whereas in the treasures of Sufism it is a spiritual path to self-purification, revelation (kasyf), and intuitive knowledge (ma’rifat). On the other hand, Heidegger's meditative thinking is a way of thinking that goes beyond modern calculative and technical thinking. It demands silence, detachment (Gelassenheit), and existential openness to the mystery of Being. Using a philosophical hermeneutic approach, this study attempts to reread tafakkur as an inner practice that parallels the spirit of meditative thinking. The research shows that both, although coming from different traditions, teach reflective practices that place humans as limited beings who must surrender to a higher reality. Tafakkur and meditative thinking both reject the dominance of reason as the only way of truth, and open space for existential experience, inner silence, and transcendental presence. The results of this study show that tafakkur can be reconstructed as a mode of being that unites the intellectual and spiritual dimensions of human beings. Tafakkur is no longer just a Sufistic practice, but a mode of being. %K Tafakkur, Pemikiran Meditatif, Heidegger, Al-Ghazali, Ma’rifat, Kasyf, Gelassenheit, Eksistensi %D 2025 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib72002
