%T ANALISIS HADIS TENTANG KESUCIAN AIR LAUT DAN KEHALALAN BANGKAI DI DALAMNYA (STUDI APLIKATIF TEORI ISNAD CUM MATN)
%X The study of hadith did not stop with the research done by Islamic scholars but it was also done by later western scholars who were interested in it. As time progressed, several theories and methods of analysis were introduced by these western scholars. One of them is Isnad cum Matn, an analytical method offered by Harald Motzki to examine the historicity of a hadith by analyzing the channels of transmission as well as collecting and comparing variations of hadith texts simultaneously.
This study aims to apply the Isnad cum Matn method to the traditions about the purity of sea water and the permissibility of carcasses in it found in the books of hadith from pre-canonical, canonical, to post-canonical. In addition, it also aims to reconstruct the sanad-matan as well as the history of the hadith. The method used in this research is descriptive-analytical with qualitative research. The data used in this research comes from some of Harald Motzki's original works and other literatures, such as books or journal articles, which still have relevance to the theme of this research.
At the end of this research, several conclusions have been drawn, namely; 1). Through this research, at least 56 traditions on the purity of sea water and the permissibility of carcasses in it have been detected and compiled from the takhrij that has been conducted. From the various traditions, they were divided into two types of groups that were differentiated based on the variations in their matan. Both groups were then analyzed according to the steps of the Isnad cum Matn method so that the historicity of the traditions could be discovered. 2.) Through the Isnad cum Matn method, this study eventually detected that Mālik b. Anas and Abū Hurayra acted as key figures in both groups and served as the real common link who were considered to have disseminated the hadith. Thus, the tradition is confirmed to have spread since the first century of the hijri.
