%X The role of Religious Counselors is very important and needed, especially for prospective brides and grooms who have limited knowledge about marriage readiness, with the existence of marriage guidance by Religious Counselors who act as inspirators, motivators, stabilizers, dynamists, and facilitators, they will guide and direct prospective brides and grooms to improve their marriage readiness, and Religious Counselors who always guide prospective brides and grooms to a happy life in the world and in the hereafter.
The purpose of this study is to determine the role of Religious Counselors at KUA Gamping Sleman in improving the marriage readiness of prospective brides and grooms in Kapanewon Gamping. In this study, the author uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach. The research data was collected using interview and documentation techniques. Primary data sources were taken from the results of interviews with Religious Counselors at the Gamping KUA, while secondary data were taken from the results of interviews with prospective brides and grooms, books, journals used by researchers to strengthen the research results.
Based on the research findings, the role of religious counselors in improving the marriage readiness of prospective brides and grooms at the Gamping Sleman Office of Religious Affairs (KUA) includes serving as inspirators, motivators, stabilizers, dynamizers, and facilitators.
