Pursuing higher education at a university is one way to acquire these. For many students, especially those from less privileged backgrounds, this often necessitates working while studying. Students who balance work and studies must manage both roles wisely, as failure to do so can have negative consequences. The numerous challenges students face during their academic journey and undergraduate thesis completion cannot be ignored. Internal stress, feelings of insecurity, or a lack of mastery and understanding of the material can hinder and disrupt undergraduate thesis completion. Therefore, a resilient personality is essential for students to find the best solutions to their problems, especially during thesis completion. This personality trait is referred to as hardiness. The research method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach. Data collection for this study included semi-structured interviews and observations. The research informants consisted of three students who are working while completing their undergraduate thesis. The informants were selected using purposive sampling. The research subjects were FY, GE, and AR. The results of this study indicate that subject FY and GE possess complete hardiness characteristics, as they are able to fulfill the aspects of control, commitment, and challenge. Meanwhile, subject AR demonstrated incomplete hardiness characteristics, as they were unable to fulfill the aspect of commitment to their primary obligation as a student.
