"Generation Z is a generation born and raised in the digital era, where social media\r\nand visual beauty standards are an integral part of everyday life. In this context,\r\nphysical appearance, especially facial skin conditions, plays an important role in\r\nshaping self-image and self-confidence, especially for women. Acne, as a common\r\nskin problem experienced by Generation Z women, not only has a physical impact,\r\nbut also affects the individual's psychological condition, such as self-confidence,\r\ncomfort in social interactions, and self-acceptance. The purpose of this study was\r\nto explore the picture of self-confidence in Generation Z women with acne\r\nproblems. This study used a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach.\r\nThis study used a purposive sampling method to determine its informants. The\r\ncriteria for informants in this study were informants with moderate to severe acne\r\nproblems as evidenced by medical records, female, experiencing acne symptoms,\r\nand were Generation Z (Born 1997-2010). The results of this study indicate that the\r\nthree informants experienced developments in self-confidence characterized by\r\nself-confidence and ability, optimism, objectivity, responsibility, and rationality.\r\nAlthough the picture of self-confidence varies depending on the background of\r\nexperience, perspective and coping strategies. This study contributes to\r\nunderstanding the psychological impact of acne on self-esteem and how individuals\r\nconstruct self-esteem amidst social expectations of physical appearance"^^ .
