However, in Indonesia, the ability is still relatively low. One method that can improve students' critical thinking skills is the Socrates method, which encourages students to be active and think deeply during the learning process. This research is a quantitative research with Quasi experimental design method. The variables in this study include two independent variables, namely the Socrates method and conventional methods and one dependent variable, namely critical thinking skills. The subject in this study was class XI IPA at XI F5 and XI F6 MAN 3 Cilacap. The data collection technique used was test technique. The instrument used by the researcher was a Pretest-Postest question sheet in the form of multiple choice. The analysis technique used is parametric statistics, namely the t test and N-Gain (Normalized Gain). Based on the results of the study, it shows that the Socrates method has an effect on students' critical thinking skills on the subject of static fluid with a significant level ? 0.05 the results of the independent t-test then the N-Gain test results obtained are 0.587 in experimental class I (Socrates method) with moderate criteria and 0.26 in experimental class II (conventional method) with low criteria. These results show that learning using the Socrates method is more recommended to improve learning outcomes and students' critical thinking skills PB - UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA KW - Metode Socrates KW - Metode Konvensional KW - Pembelajaran Fisika KW - Fluida Statis KW - Kemampuan Berpikir Kritis M1 - skripsi TI - PERBEDAAN METODE SOCRATES DENGAN METODE KONVENSIONAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN BERPIKIR KRITIS SISWA DI MAN 3 CILACAP AV - restricted EP - 174 ER -
