The use of comics is expected to address this issue, as comics are familiar reading materials among Indonesians and are well-received across various age groups. Digitizing the comics makes them easily accessible anytime and anywhere, thereby supporting independent learning. This research focuses on the development of digital comics using the 4-D Research & Development (R&D) model, which includes the stages of Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. However, the study was limited to the Develop stage due to budget and time constraints. The comics produced were evaluated as very good by media and content experts, with respective scores of 3.9 and 3.45, indicating their feasibility as instructional media. A limited trial also showed a positive response, falling into the "Agree" category with a score of 0.7. The comic is designed for students in Phase D, featuring attractive illustrations and vibrant colors to enhance engagement. It includes two main characters, a light storyline, and consists of 28 pages to help students stay focused on the content. A Japanese-style panel layout was used, as it is already familiar to Indonesian readers. Based on the data and the comic's design, which aligns with the learners' developmental phase, the developed comic is considered effective in facilitating students’ understanding of the physics concepts related to vibrations and waves. %Z Nira Nurwulandari, M.Pd.
