The practice of purchasing with a payment system in tempo causes problems when suppliers unilaterally increase prices at the time of payment. The absence of a written contract and weak communication between the shop owner and the supplier cause ambiguity (gharar), concealment of information (tadlis), and the non-fulfillment of the principle of willingness (an-taradhin minkum) in transactions. This study examines the causative factors and reviews the practice from the perspective of sharia economic law. As a result, it is necessary to show transparent contracts, price transparency, and sharia literacy to create fair transactions and in accordance with Islamic principles. Then, what exactly is the practice of buying and selling building materials with a tempo system between shop owners and suppliers in Lowayu Village, Dukun District, Gresik Regency which often experiences unilateral price clashes without clear notice or written contracts, and whether the practice is in accordance with the principles of sharia economic law such as explanation of contract (gharar), disclosure in information (tadlis)), as well as the basis of willingness between the two parties (an-taradhin minkum), so that it is necessary to further examine the validity and justice of the transaction based on the rules of muamalah in Islam? This research uses a qualitative approach with a type of field research that aims to examine the practice of buying and selling building materials with a tempo payment system in Lowayu Village, Dukun District, Gresik Regency. Data was collected through interviews and direct observation of store owners and suppliers. A juridical-empirical approach is used to assess the practice of unilateral price increases in the perspective of sharia economic law, focusing on the elements of gharar (ambiguity), tadlis (concealment of information), an-taradhin minkum (willingness), and the absence of written contracts. The results of the study show that price increases are caused by the increase in raw materials, distribution costs, and weak communication between suppliers and store owners. Price changes without a re-agreement create injustice and are contrary to the principles of Islamic muama. Therefore, the implementation of written contracts, information transparency, and sharia literacy is needed so that transactions run fairly, honestly, and in accordance with Islamic values. %K Kenaikan Harga, Sistem Tempo, Gharar, Tadlis, An-Taradhin Minkum, Hukum Ekonomi Syariah %D 2025 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib72211
