        abstract = {The phenomenon of i{\d h}tib{\=a}k in the Qur'{\=a}n is one of the stylistic features that reflect the beauty and uniqueness of this holy book. Ihtib{\=a}k is a language style that shows the omission (ha{\.z}f) of a word or phrase in one part of the verse because its equivalent has been mentioned in another part, resulting in a harmonious structure and deep meaning. This beauty is one proof that the Qur'an written in Arabic has a rich depth of meaning, both explicitly and implicitly. This study aims to explore in depth the forms of i{\d h}tib{\=a}k contained in Tafsir Al-Misbah by Quraish Shihab, as well as analyze the approach used in interpreting these verses.
The research method used is descriptive qualitative, by analyzing 22 verses containing elements of i{\d h}tib{\=a}k based on Quraish Shihab's interpretation. It is found in Surah Yunus verse 67, Ali 'Imran verse 14, Al-A'raf verse 2 and many more verses. There are 5 types of i{\d h}tib{\=a}k based on al-Biqa'i's theory. namely, i{\d h}tib{\=a}k {\d D}idd{\=i}, i{\d h}tib{\=a}k Mutasy{\=a}bih, i{\d h}tib{\=a}k Mutan{\=a}{\d z}ir, i{\d h}tib{\=a}k Mustbat wa Manf{\=i}, i{\d h}tib{\=a}k Musytarak. In his work, Quraish Shihab uses linguistic, semantic, and contextual approaches. The linguistic approach focuses on the structure of language and word order, the semantic approach emphasizes the exploration of the deep meaning of each word, while the contextual approach considers the historical and social situations that underlie the revelation of the verses.
The results of the study show that in Tafsir Al-Misbah, Quraish Shihab analyzed 22 verses containing i{\d h}tib{\=a}k. The types of i{\d h}tib{\=a}k found only consist of four forms. But it does not rule out the possibility of new discoveries. I{\d h}tib{\=a}k describing the beauty of the Qur'an as a holy book for Muslims that is full of meaning. The integrative approach applied by Quraish Shihab, by combining aspects of language, meaning, and context, provides a more comprehensive understanding of the i{\d h}tib{\=a}k verses. This makes Tafsir Al-Misbah a relevant reference in understanding the messages of the Qur'an, both in terms of the beauty of its language and the depth of its content.}
