"Toxic\r\nmasculinity is a societal mindset that demands men to always appear strong, not whiny, and\r\nsuppress their own feelings. This pattern not only curbs men's freedom to express themselves, but also has\r\na huge impact on their mental state. Many men feel the need to hide their emotions for fear of being\r\nperceived as weak, when in fact this can lead to serious problems, such as severe stress and suicidal\r\nthoughts.\r\nThrough\r\nthis research, the author tries to re understand a hadith of Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم that tells\r\nhow he cried when he lost his son Ibrahim. The Prophet's action shows that crying is not a sign of\r\nweakness, but a natural form of compassion and humanity. This study relates the hadith to the current\r\nphenomenon of toxic masculinity, and is analyzed using Yusuf al Qar ḍ āwī's Maʿānī al Ḥ adīth approach.\r\nThis\r\nresearch uses a literature based qualitative method, by collecting data from hadith books,\r\nbooks, journals, and other relevant sources. The author also analyzes the sanad and matan of the hadith,\r\nand looks at the social context. The results of this study show that the hadith about the Prophet's crying\r\ncan be a strong basis in building a healthier Islamic view of masculinity, which does not reject emotions,\r\nbut instead places them in proportion.
