        abstract = {The book Al-Haditsun Nabawy is a book that is compiled to help students, especially in the faculty of tarbiyah and other general students. The book of Al-Haditsun Nabawy contains hadith related to monotheism, morality, da'wah, tarbiyah, fiqh and others consisting of three volumes.
This research aims to find out the method of understanding carried out by Fatchurrahman in the book Al-Haditsun Nabawy and how it is applied in the book. This research is a qualitative research based on library research, with data sources consisting of primary and secondary data. Data analysis uses a descriptive approach to analysis.
The results of this study show that Fatchurrahman applies six methods of understanding hadith, namely: 1) understanding hadith with the guidance of verses of the Qur'an, 2) understanding hadith with language instructions, 3) understanding hadith with hadith with the same theme, 4) understanding hadith with historical instructions, (5) understanding hadith by questioning unclear meanings, and 6) understanding hadith with the guidance of scholars. And the results of the variation in the application of methods in the book Al-Haditsun Nabawy are: 1) hadith that uses one method there are 4 hadiths, 2) hadith that uses two methods there are 26 hadiths, 3) hadith that uses three methods there are 28 hadiths, 4) hadith that uses four methods there are 14 hadiths, 5) hadith that uses five methods there are 5 hadiths, and 6) hadith that uses six methods there are 3 hadiths.}
