"The role of youth in volunteer activities is not always viewed positively by society\r\ndue to their perceived lack of professional experience. The Milenial Bergerak\r\nCommunity provides a platform for them to volunteer without adult involvement.\r\nThis study aims to determine the factors that encourage youth to participate in\r\nvolunteerism and the obstacles faced by the Yogyakarta Millennial Bergerak\r\nCommunity in carrying out its organizational activities. This study used a\r\nqualitative approach with descriptive methods. Data collection techniques included\r\ninterviews, observation, and documentation.\r\nThe results of the study show that youth participation in batch 1 in this community\r\nis driven by various interrelated factors. In the functional motivation category, the\r\ndominant finding is Values, such as the desire to help others, share happiness, and\r\ninner satisfaction. The second dominant finding came from the category\r\nunderstanding, namely the desire to learn, broaden one's horizons, and gain a\r\ndeeper understanding of the social world. Other motives that were also found\r\ninclude protective, enhancement, and career. Meanwhile, the classification of\r\nmotivation sources shows that intrinsic motivation is more dominant, originating\r\nfrom within. On the other hand, in the category of community obstacles in carrying\r\nout its activities, the most dominant category is poor communication (Inadequate\r\nCommunication), further related to the unclear objectives or activity planning\r\n(Unclear Aims), as well as inappropriate management philosophy (Inappropriate\r\nManagement Philosophy)."^^ .
