%X Hospitals are institutions that provide health care services, including inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services. One form of service developed is spiritual guidance, Specifically for pregnant women who are about to give birth. This research is motivated by Nur Hidayah Hospital Bantul’s efforts to help patients, especially pregnant women, overcome anxiety through an Islamic spiritual guidance program. Anxiety experienced before childbirth can negatively impact the mother’s psychological and physical condition, so an appropriate spiritual approach in necessary. The study aims to describe the implementation of Islamic spiritual guidance methods in an effort to overcome pregnant women’s anxiety during childbirth at Nur Hidayah Hospital, Bantul. This study uses a qualitative approach with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The validity of the collected data was tested using method triangulation.
The result of the study indicate that there are four methods used in the implementation of spiritual guidance at Nur Hidayah Hospital, Bantul: First, the oral method, through Islamic dialogue, advice, and lectures on purification (thaharah), prayer, menstruation, postpartum, and pregnancy. Second, the written and painted methods, through the distribution of prayer books, dhikr (remembrance of Allah), and paintings displayed on every wall of the hospital. Thrid, the audio method, through the playback of murottal (recitation of the Qur’an) and the adhan (call to prayer) in patient rooms. Fourth, the moral method, an approach carried out through concrete actions by the spiritual guide, such as starting with a smile, greeting and maintaining a neet appearance.
