abstract: Food security in urban areas has become a strategic issue amid increasing urbanization, limited land availability, and society's reliance on food supplies from outside the city. These challenges highlight the need for local innovations and strategies that empower communities to achieve food self-sufficiency. The problems addressed include the strategies implemented by the Winongo Asri Farmers Group in achieving urban food security and the impact of these strategies on the community in the Patangpuluhan area. This research uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include interviews, observations, and documentation. The data analysis methods employed are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results show that the Winongo Asri Farmers Group implements various community-based food security strategies, such as land utilization, modern agricultural training, the development of educational demonstration plots, and strengthening the local market through direct sales innovations and self-harvest tourism. These strategies not only improve food availability and access for the community but also contribute to strengthening the local economy, environmental conservation, and raising ecological awareness among residents.
