This study uses a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach. The determination of informants in this study uses purposive and snowball techniques, and during the research process the data can develop. The data collection technique uses observation, interview and documentation methods. The data analysis technique uses data reduction methods, data presentation and conclusion drawn. The results of this study stated that: (1) there are several activities and services carried out by the Gorontalo Provincial Archives and Library Service in supporting the handling of public mental health problems, namely (a) conducting book review activities, (b) providing collections on mental health, (c) carrying out community empowerment activities, (d) conducting socialization about mental health to the community. (2) there are contributions made by the Gorontalo Provincial Archives and Library Service in order to support the handling of public mental health problems, namely (a) involving external parties or other related agencies, (b) evaluating library collections about mental health, (c) improving public literacy. (3) there are obstacles experienced by the Gorontalo Provincial Archives and Library Service, namely (a) budget limitations, (b) human resources in terms of resource persons, (c) coordination between institutions. %Z Dr. Anis Masruri, S.Ag., S.S., M.Si.
