Additionally, it evaluates the role of inflation as a moderating variable that may strengthen or weaken the relationship between independent variables and bank profitability. This study employs secondary data in the form of quarterly financial reports from Islamic Commercial Banks operating in Indonesia during the period 2017?2023. Data analysis was conducted using panel data regression models and moderation interaction testing. The results show that CAR and FDR have a significant positive effect on ROA, while BOPO has a significant negative effect, and NPF does not have a significant effect on ROA. On the other hand, inflation is found to significantly moderate the relationship between FDR and ROA, but does not significantly moderate the interactions with CAR, BOPO, or NPF. These findings indicate that low and stable inflation does not have sufficient influence to moderate most of the internal factors affecting profitability. Therefore, efforts to improve ROA in Islamic banks rely more on internal efficiency and risk management strategies than on external macroeconomic conditions such as inflation.
