%X Fathers' role in parenting is often limited to their breadwinning role, even though emotional and psychological involvement is crucial, especially during the challenging period of adolescence. This involvement often differs based on the child's gender, although both boys and girls need an active father role. This study aimed to determine father involvement in the parenting of adolescent boys and girls. The method used was qualitative with a phenomenological approach, through semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation of three fathers selected using a purposive sampling technique. The results revealed differences in parenting patterns: fathers are more assertive and disciplined with boys, while girls tend to allow more freedom. These differences are influenced by personal motivation, expectations regarding the child's role, and traditional gender values. Furthermore, these findings demonstrate the importance of fathers' awareness of the need for equal parenting while remaining responsive to their children's characteristics
