As educators who also play the role of students, they face social pressure from digital media, academic demands, fear of being left behind, irrelevant anxiety, and limited time for social interaction, which can disrupt emotional balance. The focus of this study is Islamic Religious Education (PAI) master's students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga who carry out dual roles as students and educators. This study was conducted to examine the factors causing the FOMO phenomenon in students, its impact on students, and strategies used to manage it. This type of research is a descriptive qualitative research with a phenomenological approach supported by theories from psychological and sociological approaches. Data collection techniques include observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions (FGD), documents, and audio and visual materials. Data analysis is carried out by processing and preparing data, reading all data, starting coding all data, implementing the coding process, presenting data, and making interpretations and giving meaning to data. Data validity testing uses technical triangulation techniques, source triangulation, and time triangulation. The results of the study show that: (1) Factors causing FOMO include: high intensity in the use of social media, lack of personal satisfaction, dual role burdens, namely academic burden and teaching burden, and minimal social support from the surrounding environment. (2) The impacts of these conditions include the emergence of fear of missing out on information or opportunities, the tendency to make negative social comparisons, feelings of alienation or loneliness, and also emotional instability. (3) In overcoming this, the strategies used to manage FOMO are cognitive strategies, behavioral strategies by managing time more effectively and limiting social media, then spiritual strategies such as worship and learning to accept the situation with a more adaptive attitude. The implications of the research results can be used as input for PAI master's students, PAI study programs, and further research related to the context of the fear of missing out phenomenon, especially those that impact students who have dual roles.} }
