The stick is work manually. The blind people still have to hardly think to memorize a particular track. In order to solve this problem, a research on how to develop walk assist tool for the blind people is then required. This study tries to develop a robotic system using the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method. The sequence of activities carried out in this study are : system requirements analysis, system design, system implementation and system testing. The prototype for a robot line follower using AVR-ATmega328 microcontroller and Arduino UNO R2 module board is successfully created in this study. A functionality and usability test has been done to 5 respondents. All features have been tested and shown that they are fully functional. As for the usability testing shown that the robot is easy to use. However, the prototype robots still has lack with the sensitivity of the line sensing that still depends of the owned power of battery so that if the power of battery is running low then the sensitivity of the censor is reduced.
