Said Hasan Basri, S.Psi., M.Si. abstract: This research is motivated by the increasingly apparent phenomenon of fatherlessness in Indonesia, where many adolescents grow up without the presence or active role of a father, whether physically, emotionally, or psychologically. Father absence can be caused by various factors, such as divorce, death, neglect, or work demands. This condition has an impact on the psychological development of adolescents, one of which is low resilience. Resilience is important for adolescents to be able to face life's pressures positively. One factor that can strengthen resilience is social support from the surrounding environment. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between social support and resilience in fatherless students of MAN 4 Bantul and solutions to improve the resilience of fatherless students of MAN 4 Bantul through social support. The type of research used a quantitative approach. The research subjects were 36 fatherless students at MAN 4 Bantul. The data collection method in this study used a social support scale with 15 items and a resilience scale with 29 items. Data analysis used Pearson correlation with the help of SPSS 22 for Windows application. Based on the test results, a significance coefficient value of 0.034 < 0.05 and r = 0.354 was obtained. This value indicates a positive correlation between social support and resilience. The test results show that there is a positive relationship between the two variables, which means that the higher the social support of fatherless students, the higher the resilience of fatherless students, conversely, the lower the social support of fatherless students, the lower the resilience of fatherless students. Solutions to increase the resilience of fatherless students through social support include group counseling and extracurricular activities. In addition to social support, there are also other factors that influence resilience, namely religiosity. date: 2025-08-04 date_type: published pages: 137 institution: UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA department: FAKULTAS DAKWAH DAN KOMUNIKASI thesis_type: skripsi thesis_name: other citation: Ema Julia, NIM.: 20102020043 (2025) RESILIENSI SISWA FATHERLESS MAN 4 BANTUL DITINJAU DARI DUKUNGAN SOSIAL.
