However, in the era of globalization and rapid technological advancement, the phenomenon of moral degradation such as declining manners, lack of responsibility, and weakening social ethic has become increasingly widespread, even extending into Islamic educational institutions, including student dormitories. This condition presents a distinct challenge in the moral development process, particularly for new students who come from diverse social backgrounds and habits. This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic communication principles in shaping the moral quality of students at Asrama Siti Aisyah, Madrasah Mu?allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The Islamic communication principles explored include sidq (truthfulness), amanah (trustworthiness), tabligh (conveying the truth), fathanah (wisdom), and uswatun hasanah (exemplary conduct). The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques. The findings reveal that the application of Islamic communication principles by caregivers not only strengthens interpersonal relationships but also serves as an effective medium for internalizing moral values in students. The novelty of this research lies in the integration of Islamic communication principles as a daily approach to character building, rather than merely as a theory of preaching (dakwah). These findings contribute to the development of student characterbuilding strategies within Islamic boarding schools or dormitories and align with Muhammadiyah's educational mission to cultivate Muslim cadres who excel in morality, spirituality, and intellectuality.} }
