"Morality is a fundamental pillar in shaping the character of students in\r\nIslam. However, in the era of globalization and rapid technological advancement,\r\nthe phenomenon of moral degradation such as declining manners, lack of\r\nresponsibility, and weakening social ethic has become increasingly widespread,\r\neven extending into Islamic educational institutions, including student\r\ndormitories. This condition presents a distinct challenge in the moral development\r\nprocess, particularly for new students who come from diverse social backgrounds\r\nand habits. This study aims to examine the implementation of Islamic\r\ncommunication principles in shaping the moral quality of students at Asrama Siti\r\nAisyah, Madrasah Mu’allimaat Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The Islamic\r\ncommunication principles explored include sidq (truthfulness), amanah\r\n(trustworthiness), tabligh (conveying the truth), fathanah (wisdom), and uswatun\r\nhasanah (exemplary conduct). The research employs a descriptive qualitative\r\napproach, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation techniques.\r\nThe findings reveal that the application of Islamic communication principles by\r\ncaregivers not only strengthens interpersonal relationships but also serves as an\r\neffective medium for internalizing moral values in students. The novelty of this\r\nresearch lies in the integration of Islamic communication principles as a daily\r\napproach to character building, rather than merely as a theory of preaching\r\n(dakwah). These findings contribute to the development of student characterbuilding\r\nstrategies within Islamic boarding schools or dormitories and align with\r\nMuhammadiyah's educational mission to cultivate Muslim cadres who excel in\r\nmorality, spirituality, and intellectuality."^^ .
