The analysis technique used E-Views 10 with separate panel data regression. The results of this study indicate that NPF has a significant negative effect on ROA in Islamic banks in Indonesia, and NPF in Islamic banks in Malaysia significantly affects ROA. This means that the higher the problem financing, the lower the bank's profitability. The FDR significantly affects ROA in Islamic banks in Indonesia and Malaysia. The BOPO (Operating Expenses to Deposit) has no significant effect in either country. Meanwhile, the Profit Sharing Ratio (PSR) in each country has no significant effect on ROA. The ZPR significantly affects ROA in Islamic banks in Malaysia, while the ZPR does not affect ROA in Malaysian Islamic banks. This research contributes to policymaking for the development of a more sustainable Islamic financial system. Keywords: PSR, ZPR, ROA, Problematic Financing %Z Dr. Mukhamad Yazid Afandi, M.Ag.
