Parents require knowledge and skills in optimally managing emotions to maintain stable mental health, known as emotional regulation. This study was conducted to identify the relationship between emotional regulation and parenting stress among parents of children with special needs. This research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The total number of participants was 195 individuals (49 males, 146 females). The data collection method utilized questionnaires with instruments comprising the Emotional Regulation Scale and the Parenting Stress Scale. Research findings indicate a strong negative relationship between emotional regulation and parenting stress among parents of children with special needs, with a Pearson Correlation Coefficient of -0.741. The effective contribution of emotional regulation to parenting stress is 55\%. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the higher the emotional regulation ability, the lower the parenting stress experienced by parents, and conversely, the lower the emotional regulation ability, the higher the parenting stress experienced by parents.} }
