%T HUBUNGAN ANTARA KETERLIBATAN AYAH DALAM PENGASUHAN DAN KEMATANGAN EMOSI DENGAN KESIAPAN MENIKAH PADA DEWASA AWAL
%X The marriage rate in Indonesia has experienced a significant decline, with numerous factors contributing to this trend. Therefore, this study aims to determine the relationship between fathers’ engagement in parenting, emotional maturity, and marriage readiness among young adults.
A quantitative correlational method was employed in this study. The participants were 323 young adults selected through a convenience sampling technique. Data were collected using three scales measuring fathers’ engagement in parenting, emotional maturity, and marriage readiness. A multiple linear regression analysis was used to analyze the data.
The results of the multiple linear regression analysis indicated a statistically significant positive relationship between the independent variables (fathers’ engagement in parenting and emotional maturity) and the dependent variable (marriage readiness), as evidenced by the F-test (F = 0.000, p < 0.001). The findings further revealed that higher levels of emotional maturity and fathers’ engagement in parenting were associated with a greater marriage readiness.
This research hopes to encourage young adults to not rush into the decision to marry and to comprehensively assess their own marriage readiness.
