The subjects in this study consisted of three single parent mothers. The method used is a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques using semi-structured interviews and observation. Data analysis techniques consist of processing data and preparing data, reading the entire data, coding data, connecting themes/descriptions, and interpreting themes/descriptions. The results showed that the status of single parent mothers is still seen as taboo by most people. The bad stigma of a single parent mother or widow is often fueled by society itself. This stigma can lead to social isolation and feelings of alienation, which can cause mental and emotional distress for single parent mothers. Not to mention the increased duties of a single parent mother, who must carry out the dual role of a mother and father for her child. In reality, many single parent mothers are struggling to live their lives for the future of themselves and their children. Thus, single parent mothers are prone to stress. Therefore, this study aims to provide an overview of stress coping used by single parent mothers. This study aims to determine stress coping in single parent mothers. This study involved three single parent mothers who routinely do physical exercise as informants, and are members of a gymnastics group in X Magelang Village. The method used was a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data collection techniques used semi-structured interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis techniques consist of data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of this study are: 1) Physiological, psychological, and behavioral impacts of single parent mothers, 2) Coping stress done by single parent mothers, 3) Factors that support coping stress of single parent mothers. %Z Rita Setyani Hadi Sukirno, S.
