"This research focused on developing a science student worksheet\r\n(LKPD) titled “Saintetik” that integrates the local potential of Bobung masks to\r\nenhance science literacy among junior high school (SMP/MTs) students. The\r\ndevelopment process followed the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design,\r\nDevelopment, Implementation). Initial analysis revealed that 76.5% of students\r\nat SMP Negeri 2 Patuk found science difficult, and their science literacy was\r\nlow, with an average score of 59.5. Additionally, existing learning materials\r\nwere unengaging, and local potential was underutilized in science teaching.\r\nThe developed LKPD aims to facilitate students's understanding of\r\nconcepts, problem analysis, and application of scientific principles within reallife\r\ncontexts, specifically focusing on the topics of Work, Energy, and Simple\r\nMachines. The Bobung mask craft was chosen as a local context due to its\r\nproximity to the school and its relevance to scientific concepts. The LKPD\r\ndesign emphasizes student-centered learning, critical thinking, and creativity,\r\naligning with the Merdeka Curriculum's principles.\r\nValidation by material experts, media experts, and science teachers rated\r\nthe LKPD as 'very good,' with average scores of 3.33, 3.63, and 3.40\r\nrespectively. Student responses during limited and extensive trials were\r\nconsistently positive, with an overall average score of 0.94, indicating that\r\nstudents found the LKPD acceptable and beneficial for learning. Observations\r\nalso confirmed that the LKPD effectively increased student engagement and\r\ninterest in science, particularly when connected to local culture. In conclusion,\r\nthe “Saintetik” LKPD is a valid, practical, and effective learning resource that\r\nleverages local potential to improve science literacy and foster a deeper\r\nappreciation for local culture among students."^^ .
