"The implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka at the early childhood\r\neducation level requires comprehensive teacher readiness to ensure that\r\neducational goals ar e achieved optimally. This study aims to analyze teachers’\r\nunderstanding of the Kurikulum Merdeka, describe their readiness in terms of\r\nemotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects, and identify the challenges and\r\nsolutions encountered in its implementation at Nurul Ummah Kindergarten,\r\nKotagede. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptiveanalytical\r\nmethod. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and\r\ndocumentation, and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and\r\nconclusion drawing.\r\nThe findings reveal that teachers at Nurul Ummah Kindergarten possess\r\nadequate understanding of the Kurikulum Merdeka, particularly in relation to\r\nproject-based learning, flexible teaching methods, the strengthening of literacy and\r\nnumeracy, and the integration of religious and character values into learning\r\nactivities. In terms of readiness, teachers demonstrated cognitive readiness through\r\ntheir ability to comprehend concepts and prepare lesson plans, emotional readiness\r\nthrough enthusiasm and responsibility in carrying out learning, and behavioral\r\nreadiness through classroom management, collaboration with colleagues, and\r\nconsistent evaluation of learning. Thus, teacher readiness was not only reflected in\r\ncognitive mastery but also in attitudes, values, and actual practices in the learning\r\nprocess. Nevertheless, several challenges were identified, including limited\r\nparental understanding of the Kurikulum Merdeka approach, insufficient learning\r\nmedia and facilities, and teachers’ emotional instability in managing classroom\r\ndynamics. To address these challenges, teachers conducted continuous\r\nsocialization with parents, utilized simple and locally available media, applied\r\ndifferentiated instruction according to children’s needs, and actively participated in\r\nprofessional training and learning communities."^^ .
