Parents or caregivers of children with special needs also lack effective strategies in childcare, resulting in their life skills not being fully developed. The Ainul Yakin Islamic Boarding School in Gunungkidul stands out as one of the institutions focused on caring for children with special needs by integrating life skill development with the Self Spiritual ‘Aqliyyah strategy. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with caregivers and ABK students, and documentation. Data analysis utilized the Miles and Huberman data analysis technique, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. To test data credibility, the data source triangulation technique was uses. Based on the data and analysis of the research conducted, the management of special needs children at the Ainul Yakin Islamic Boarding School through the Self Spiritual ‘Aqliyyah Strategy can be concluded as follows: 1) The management of Children with Special Needs at the Ainul Yakin Islamic Boarding School is carried out systematically through the stages of planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluating. The implementation results show improvements in independence, self-confidence, and life skills among special needs. 2) The Self Spiritual ‘Aqliyyah strategy is highly effective for special needs by integrating spiritual and rational dimensions into the daily lives of students, including the practice of prayer, study sessions, and duties such as livestock farming, agriculture, laundry, and handicrafts. 3) The tangible contribution of Self Spiritual ‘Aqliyyah is reflected in behavioral changes and improved abilities among special needs, enabling students to develop into well-rounded, independent, and virtuous individuals. %K Pengelolaan, Pengasuhan Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus, Life skill, Self Spiritual ‘Aqliyyah %D 2025 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib72775
