"Elderly people are a group vulnerable to various psychosocial problems, including\r\ndeclining physical health, social isolation, and the risk of depression and suicidal\r\nbehavior. Proper social protection efforts are needed to maintain the overall quality\r\nof life of the elderly. This study examines the implementation of community-based\r\nsocial protection programs through the Social Welfare Institution (LKS) Pos Lansia\r\nHusnul Khotimah in Jetis Kulon Hamlet, Pacarejo Village, Semanu Sub-district,\r\nGunungkidul Regency. The program focuses on preventing psychosocial risks of\r\nthe elderly while also maintaining physical health, spirituality, institutional\r\nfinancial independence, and food self-sufficiency through continuous community\r\ninteraction.\r\nThis research uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were\r\ncollected through in-depth interviews with managers, elderly participants, and\r\nrelated parties, direct observation of activities, and documentation of the programs\r\nconducted. Data analysis was carried out interactively through data reduction, data\r\npresentation, and conclusion drawing, with validity tested using source and method\r\ntriangulation.\r\nThe results show that the social protection programs implemented by LKS Pos\r\nLansia Husnul Khotimah significantly contribute to maintaining the holistic wellbeing\r\nof the elderly. Interventions in physical health aspects include elderly\r\nexercise, regular health check-ups, supplementary food provision, and elderly\r\nclasses. In the spiritual aspect, activities such as elderly TPA (Qur’an learning) and\r\nreligious gatherings strengthen inner peace and ego integrity. Institutional financial\r\nindependence is supported by productive economic enterprises such as lempeng\r\n(cassava cracker) production and stingless bee honey cultivation, while food selfsufficiency\r\nis achieved through nutrition gardens and catfish farming using the\r\nbudikdamber system. In addition to providing real benefits for meeting the basic\r\nneeds of the elderly, the program also creates social interaction spaces that reduce\r\nloneliness, enhance self-esteem, and lower the risk of suicide among the elderly.\r\nThus, LKS Pos Lansia Husnul Khotimah can serve as a model of community-based\r\nsocial protection that is adaptive, participatory, and sustainable."^^ .
