N2  - Family conflict constitutes an unavoidable dynamic within household life. This study aims to examine the impact of the STIFIn approach in resolving family disputes within the STIFIn community in Yogyakarta, as well as to assess its alignment with the objectives of Maqasid al-Shariah, specifically the dimensions of Hifz al-Din (preservation of religion) and Hifz al-Nafs (preservation of life).
Employing a qualitative methodology with a case study design, data were gathered through in-depth interviews. The analytical process applied a descriptive?qualitative approach, interpreted within the theoretical framework of Maqasid al-Shariah as articulated by Imam al-Ghazali.
The findings reveal that the application of the STIFIn concept plays a pivotal role in reducing the escalation of domestic conflicts. By recognizing the dominant ?intelligence machine? and inherent personality tendencies of their partners, individuals become more capable of regulating ego, fostering empathy, and developing adaptive communication patterns. From a spiritual perspective, this approach positively influences religious awareness in conflict resolution (Hifz al-Din). From a psychological perspective, it contributes to emotional stability and the prevention of verbal and physical aggression (Hifz al-Nafs).
The implementation within the STIFIn community in Yogyakarta demonstrates that conflict resolution need not be confined to conventional psychological methods but can be meaningfully integrated with substantive Islamic values. Viewed through the lens of Maqasid al-Shariah, the STIFIn framework offers an innovative effort to uphold spiritual integrity and emotional equilibrium within the family unit.
