The results show that work environment (t = 3.373; p = 0.000) and career development (t = 4.922; p = 0.000) have a significant positive effect on retention. Both also influence employee engagement (t = 2.556; p = 0.005 and t = 2.655; p = 0.004), but employee engagement does not significantly affect retention (t = 1.053; p = 0.146).
