This development has had an impact on various aspects of life, including Islamic boarding schools. Many Islamic boarding schools face limitations in terms of resources and expertise in implementing adequate security systems, so it is necessary to minimize the risk of security breaches by evaluating their existing security systems. This study aims to (1) identify the extent to which the use of information technology in Islamic boarding schools meets information security aspects in accordance with the KAMI Index standards, (2) analyze the level of information technology security maturity in Islamic boarding schools using the KAMI Index standards, (3) to classify Islamic boarding schools based on the level of information technology security maturity obtained from the results of the identification using the KAMI Index. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed. The initial stage of the research involved conducting a literature review related to the research problem. This study focused on assessing information technology governance using the KAMI Index in Islamic boarding schools across Demak Regency. In this study, the population of Islamic boarding schools in Demak Regency, totaling 120, was utilized, with a sample of 10% of the population being selected, resulting in 12 Islamic boarding schools through purposive sampling method. Data were collected through direct field observations, questionnaire distribution, documentation, and completion of respondent identification forms. The results of the assessment using the KAMI index indicate that information technology utilization is already in place in most Islamic boarding schools, but not all have fully implemented information security aspects in accordance with KAMI standards. Some boarding schools are still in the early stages of information technology utilization without adequate security protection. The level of information security analyzed through the KAMI instrument shows significant variation among Islamic boarding schools. Based on the KAMI index results, boarding schools can be grouped into security level clusters, ranging from unsuitable, adequate, and good. These clusters serve as the basis for recommendations to enhance information technology security in each boarding school according to their needs and capabilities. %K Keamanan Informasi, Indeks KAMI, Teknologi Informasi %D 2025 %I UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA YOGYAKARTA %L digilib72942
