abstract: The development of information technology requires schools to provide academic services that are fast, efficient, and easily accessible. However, many schools still rely on conventional systems, which makes the delivery of academic information less optimal. This research aims to develop an academic information system based on Laravel integrated with an AI Chatbot as an intelligent interaction medium between the system and its users. The research method includes needs analysis, system design, chatbot implementation, and evaluation using black box testing and user satisfaction surveys.
The results show that all 30 black box testing scenarios were successfully executed without errors, indicating that the system fulfills the aspects of functionality and reliability. The chatbot’s performance evaluation achieved an accuracy rate of 90%, which means that most chatbot responses matched the users’ queries, although minor inaccuracies were still found. Furthermore, user satisfaction surveys revealed very positive feedback, particularly regarding ease of use, response speed, and clarity of information. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the academic information system integrated with an AI Chatbot has been successfully developed with accurate and reliable performance. The system is feasible to be implemented in junior high schools as an innovative solution to improve the efficiency of academic services and to support digital transformation in education.
